Day 42 - Woof

Today was day 42.

As expected my whole day has been nicely filled out by Dexter. Since picking him up at 10 this morning I have been pretty much monopolised with walking, feeding, watering and cleaning up after him. This has meant I have managed to go out to walk around twice on my own (I am not counting him as a babysitter). I also managed to spend about half an hour playing with him in the car park while I was waiting for people to set up the Duathlon course. This is the first time I have managed to spend anything more than a couple of minutes outside on my own without having a panic attack

Unfortunately, dogs and supermarkets are a no-go so I had to try that on my own again. I thought maybe if I picked a different supermarket further from home that the distance might help. It actually made things slightly worse. The lack of familiarity meant I couldn't plan properly or focus on a specific planned route going from one item to the next. I managed the first couple of aisles before the panic started and I had to give it up. So I will either have to make another attempt tomorrow or survive the week on a pizza, a dog toy and two scotch eggs. I still refuse to give up and resort to online shopping.

Day 42 - Woof.
