Today is day 56.
Yesterday was a Friday. It was better than an average Friday, but partly because I slept through most of it. Despite being cut to half levels of the Lorazepam after Thursday, I am still permanently on the edge of sleep. I took my granny to visit my parents in Elgin in the afternoon, and fell asleep on their sofa. Then I came home and fell asleep on my sofa. In the evening I had a friend come to visit. Fourth visitor in a week. Two of those were obviously here out of guilt after reading last week's blog but at least they tried. I was also invited to go out for dinner but still can't face being out in public for that long.
This morning I received a letter from Metro. It was pretty much as I expected. That is all I am going to say on that matter for now.
Today I had my sister take me for a haircut. It has been 3 months so I have gone from shaggy to the full-on PoW look inside 10 minutes. She also took me to Asda where I managed to get round the shop while she waited outside. While I manage to get round the store ok, by the time we got back to my house I had the hand tremors going again, despite the best efforts of the Lorazepam and Dexter the distractor. I also have the start of withdrawal symptoms from cutting back.
Just as a quick update on the status of who is a friend and who is not a friend. My facebook friends list still stands at 285, so not a single one of you has "unfriended" me. Seems more than a little gutless considering some of the anonymous comments that have been left here. Either they are all being left by people who aren't among those 285 (in which case I don't give a shit about your comments) or some of you think that posting insults here anonymously while not unfriending me on facebook doesn't qualify you as two-faced.
In the meantime, all the Aberdeen-based people who continue to pretend I don't exist, you have now been surpassed by facebook messages from Switzerland from someone I have spent less than 2 hours with in the last 11 years, and a phone call from San Francisco (OK, I actually slept through the phone call from San Fran and just got a voicemail but it still beats the silent treatment by a fucking long way!).
